Do not vegan shoes

Years after I became vegan, I decided to throw away all non-vegan (mostly leather) shoes. Eventually I thought it was a shame and that some people needed them. So I just left a couple next to the recycling bin every day and they immediately disappeared! Of course, I will never buy non-vegan shoes again. Did you face that with the shoes?

I believe, as harsh as it sounds, that we should throw them away. When someone wears them, regardless of whether they bought them themselves, it sends a message that it is ok to kill animals and make them clothes. Only then will the common perception that animals are here to be exploited change.

Do not be misunderstood, it is to your credit that you thought of helping other people who do not have shoes, but I look at the bigger picture and see that the only way the vegan message will reach everyone.
